To celebrate this exciting new chapter CWDT will present “The Beginning of a New Era” taking place October 2 -3 , 2026 at the esteemed Plays and Players Theater in Philadelphia. CWDT will present three performances.

Contemporary West Dance Theatre proudly announces the highly anticipated return of Founder and Artistic Director Bernard H. Gaddis’ acclaimed ballet, *Fraternus/Brethren* Part 1. This captivating all-male performance explores the profound narrative of the Archangels of Heaven and the sorrowful death of the Son of God, poignantly illustrated with the phrase, “And the Angels wept at the death of their beloved brother.” As one of Gaddis’ earliest full-length ballets, it showcases his exceptional artistry and vision. Additionally, Gaddis will unite with the newly appointed resident choreographer, Elizabeth Roxas-Dobrish, to present the exciting world premiere of *A-pocalypsis*, This remarkable collaboration promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for audiences. Also on the program “Steveland” to music by the legendary Stevie Wonder.
